Project Development

SpectrumRED GrantLab (SGL) partners with clients to assist in designing, preparing, and submitting applications for federal, state, and private grant funding. SGL offers a variety of services free-of-charge to clients: designing and conducting needs assessments; facilitating project design/planning activities; facilitating development of key partnerships between clients and other entities; developing grant narratives and budgets; submitting grant proposals; managing post-submission, and pre-funding communication with funding agency staff.


SGL staff hold degrees in English, Grant Writing, Management, and Evaluation, and Psychology. Since 1997, SGL staff have developed proposals that have secured over $400 million in federal funding, and have helped clients submit applications to many funding opportunities, including:

Accomplishments

For over 20 years, the SGL has accomplished the following:

1. Assisted clients secure over $400 million in federal grant funding

SGL personnel work with clients to identify funding sources to enhance existing or planned initiatives.


2. Served clients in 25+ states

SGL personnel have worked with clients in states across the nation, in Puerto Rico, and in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

GEAR UP

Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a U.S. Department of Education discretionary grant program that assists low-income students obtain a secondary school diploma and prepare for and succeed in postsecondary education.
